Ministry: Russia threshes 114 mln tns of grain as of Tuesday

MOSCOW, Nov 6 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers threshed 114.2 million tonnes of grain in bunker weight from 43.911 million hectares as of Tuesday, down from 135.24 million tonnes of grain harvested from 45.211 million hectares as of the same date in 2017, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.

The crop yield fell 13% on the year but rose 0.4% on the week to 26 metric centners per hectare.

The ministry expects the Russian grain harvest to amount to 109 million tonnes in 2018.
